Mopane Foundation International has always relied on public donations for its operations. The current pandemic lockdown has financially affected our operations beyond what we ever have imagined and we are therefore working hard to achieve one of some of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For these 12 vulnerable kids residing in this home we have achieved some including Goal 6 (clean water & sanitation) & Goal 7 (affordable & clean solar energy). These sustainability projects in progress are aimed at achieving SDGs 2 and 4. We are almost achieving Goal 2 for these 12 and working hard achieve SDG 4 for these and the other 24 we support in rural Zimbabwe.
Achieving the target and purchasing this vehicle will enable us to move our produce to the markets. Not owning our own vehicle forces us to hire the goods transport which is not regulated & very expensive. Using hired one willl end up eating all the profits made and that will defeat the purpose of all this project.
